On March 20th, I had the chance to attend the Marketing Jam MegaMixer at Haute Spot’s private recording studio, and let me tell you—it was a great time! Hosted by some of Austin’s top marketing and communications organizations, the event was the perfect mix of networking, music, and just all-around good vibes. Whether you’re into marketing, PR, UX, or just connecting with creative people, this event had something for everyone.
From the get-go, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your typical stiff, awkward networking event. The whole vibe was relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to dive into conversations with people from all kinds of professional backgrounds. The venue, Spectra Studios in Cedar Park, had a laid-back atmosphere that set the tone for the night. No suits and ties here—just people enjoying great food, drinks, and a fun environment while they mingled.

One of the best parts was getting to connect with folks from AMA Austin, Club Ichi, PRSA Austin, AAF Austin, Austin Content, Austin UXPA, Women Communicators of Austin, and Ad 2 Austin. It was amazing to meet so many talented people across different sectors of marketing and communications, all in one place. Whether we were chatting about the latest marketing trends or how industry technology is evolving, the conversations were super engaging and insightful. It really reminded me of how interconnected all of these fields are and how valuable it is to learn from each other.
But the networking wasn’t the only thing that made this event memorable. There was also a live acoustic performance by Brandon Kinder, which really added to the vibe. It wasn’t just background noise; it was a great way to keep the energy up while still giving people the chance to chat and enjoy the evening. And of course, there were tacos and drinks to keep everyone happy. What more could you ask for?

As if the night wasn’t already awesome enough, I even got lucky with the bingo card raffle! I won AirPods and—wait for it—free tickets to the 2026 Marketing Jam MegaMixer. I’m definitely coming back for that! It was a fun little surprise, and honestly, it just made the whole evening feel even more special.
Beyond the prizes and music, what really stood out to me was the sense of community. The event really showed how supportive and collaborative the Austin marketing and communications scene is. It was so cool to connect with people who are passionate about what they do, and I left the event feeling motivated to get even more involved with these local groups.
Since attending, I’ve been even more excited to dive deeper into the local chapters of these organizations and participate in future events. If you’re someone looking to grow your network or just meet some incredible people in the industry, I highly recommend checking out what these groups have to offer.

Honestly, this event made me realize how important it is to stay engaged with the local professional community. Whether you’re new to the industry or a seasoned pro, events like this are a great way to stay in the loop, build relationships, and keep learning. I know the connections I made at the MegaMixer are ones I’ll carry with me for a long time.
I can’t wait for the next Marketing Jam MegaMixer, and I’ll definitely be attending more events hosted by AMA Austin, PRSA Austin, and the other groups involved.
