Networking at Easy Tiger North: Community, Coffee & Career Connections

Lately, Easy Tiger North has become more than just a great spot for pastries and coffee—it’s become the backdrop for some of my most valuable networking experiences in Austin. From marketing mixers to sustainability meetups, this laid-back location has offered countless opportunities to connect with brilliant minds and inspiring peers across industries. Let’s take a quick walk back through a few recent events that have made a big impact on me.

Ad 2 Austin’s 32 Under 32 Awards (May 8)

Most recently, I had the honor of volunteering at the check-in table for Ad 2 Austin‘s 32 Under 32 Awards, celebrating the city’s top young professionals in marketing and advertising. Held at Easy Tiger North with an MVP-themed flair, the event buzzed with creativity and camaraderie.

Welcoming each nominee gave me a front-row seat to the incredible work being done in this industry—from strategic brand launches to innovative digital campaigns. It was equal parts inspiring and energizing to meet so many trailblazers under 32 who are already reshaping the marketing landscape.

Shoutout to Ad 2 Austin, the event sponsors, and Easy Tiger for making the night a celebration to remember—complete with delicious food and meaningful conversation. The future of marketing in Austin looks bright, and I’m grateful to have played a small part in recognizing those leading the way.

USGBC Central Texas Green Coffee Hour (May 1)

A week earlier, I returned to Easy Tiger North for something a bit more grassroots—the USGBC Central Texas Green Coffee Hour. These monthly gatherings bring together sustainability professionals and advocates for casual, early-morning conversations over coffee.

This time, I was thrilled to reconnect in person with a member of my Green Group Job Search Council and meet new faces, including professionals from Austin Transportation Partners. Our discussion wove through topics like green building, sustainable mobility, and the intersection of infrastructure and environmental stewardship.

One of the most impactful conversations I had was with someone whose spouse is also navigating the job search process. I shared my own experiences and pointed them toward local organizations that have helped me along the way. Moments like these remind me how vital it is to both seek support and offer it—to be part of a shared journey in sustainability and career development.

AMA Austin Marketing Mornings (April 12 & May 14)

My Easy Tiger networking story really kicked off at AMA Austin’s Marketing Mornings—a monthly mixer I make a point to attend whenever I can. These casual meetups are a goldmine for marketers seeking connection, inspiration, and real talk about the ever-evolving world of communications.

At the April event, I finally put faces to familiar names—professionals I’d seen in passing at other AMA and marketing events. Over coffee and breakfast bites, we chatted about everything from emerging trends to personal career goals. What stood out most was the space to ask honest questions, trade insights, and leave with new professional connections who felt like future collaborators.

Fast forward to the May 14 Marketing Morning, and it was so rewarding to walk in and recognize familiar faces from previous gatherings. There’s something energizing about seeing a professional circle begin to take shape—one conversation at a time. That evening, I happened to run into several of those same AMA members again at BASHH (Big Ass Social Happy Hour) at the Brewtorium, further reinforcing how interconnected Austin’s creative and marketing communities really are.

Each of these events, while unique in tone and topic, reinforced a shared truth: showing up matters. Whether celebrating young creatives, digging into sustainable development, or chatting over coffee about campaign KPIs, the simple act of being present creates momentum—for your career, your community, and your confidence.

Easy Tiger North might just be one of my new favorite places to network at—one handshake (and pastry) at a time.
